A Charles I cast and chased silver royalist badge 1625-1649 by Thomas Rawlins, obverse with bust of Charles facing right with elaborate ruff, reverse with crowned coat of arms within inscribed garter and border of flowers and leaves, suspension ring to top and bottom, Eimer 167b, width 42mm, weight 17.2g (very fine with darker old cabinet tone). A Charles I cast and chased silver royalist badge by Thomas Rawlins, obverse with bust of Charles facing right with fine lace collar, reverse with bust of Henrietta Maria facing left with hair up, fine drapery and pearl necklace, signed 'T. Rawlins' below, suspension loops to top and bottom and ball-shaped markers to sides, Eimer 167b, height 45mm, width 44mm, weight 14.2g (extremely fine with old cabinet tone, some underlying lustre), with an old ink-written collector's ticket. A 17th century silver medal commemorating the marriage of Charles I and Henrietta Maria, obverse with facing busts in full regalia, reverse with Cupid walking right, scattering roses and lilies, Eimer 105, diameter 23mm, weight 1.9g (extremely fine, toned). A mid-17th century silver medal by Thomas Rawlins commemorating the Restoration 1660, obverse with Moses watching the Israelites making bricks while being beaten by their Egyptian taskmasters, detailed 'Cum duplicatur onus redit Moyses', reverse with script in eight lines 'In aeter memor Caroli II Ma Br Franc et Hibern clementissimi regis reds 29 Maii 1660' within an oak wreath border, Eimer 217, diameter 31mm, weight 12g (extremely fine with old cabinet tone and part reflective fields, clipped planchet), with an old ink-written collector's ticket. An early/mid-17th century Charles I Scottish silver coronation medal 1633 by Nicholas Briot, obverse with crowned bust facing left with intricate fine lace collar and Order of the Thistle, reverse with thistle plant, dated and signed 'B' below, Eimer 123, diameter 29mm, weight 14g (extremely fine, toned with reflective fields). An extremely rare mid-17th century silver Charles I memorial medal by Thomas Rawlins, dated 1648, obverse with bust of Charles facing left in full regalia within a border detailed 'Successor verus utriusque' (true successor of each) with entwined roses, reverse with hammer striking a diamond on an anvil with legend to border 'Inexpugnabilis 1648' (unconquerable), diameter 41mm, weight 16.4g (extremely fine with lovely even old cabinet tone), with an old ink-written ticket, detailed 'Sale 47/514 £8'. Note: this medal was produced after the King's death on 30th January 1649 to celebrate his fortitude. An early 18th century silver Oliver Cromwell memorial medal 1658 by Jean Dassier, obverse with laureate, armoured and draped bust facing left, reverse with monument decorated with shield, helmet and palm, surrounded by four infant genii, detailed 'Nat.3.April.1603, Mort.3.Sept.1658' below, Eimer 203, diameter 38mm, weight 32.2g (extremely fine with old cabinet tone differing a little to either side, reverse with lustrous fields). A mid-17th century silver Charles II coronation medal 1661 by Thomas Rawlins, obverse with crowned bust facing left with Garter collar, detailed 'Coronatus' below, reverse with Charles as a shepherd tending three flocks of sheep, representing the three kingdoms, edge indistinctly detailed, Eimer 220, diameter 33mm, weight 22.2g (good/fine with old cabinet tone, some weakness in design, edge bruises in one or two places). A rare mid-17th century silver Charles II coronation medal variation 1661 by Thomas Rawlins, obverse with crowned bust facing left with Garter collar and inscription 'Carolus II DG Mag Bri Fra et Hi Rex Cor', signed 'R' below bust, reverse with Charles as a shepherd tending three flocks of sheep, representing the three kingdoms, edge detailed 'Coronato pastore ovat ovile' (the fold rejoices in the crowned shepherd), Eimer 220 but a variant, diameter 34mm, weight 22.6g (near extremely fine with even deep old cabinet tone, some scratches to field to front of portrait).
