A Commonwealth half-crown 1649-1660, dated 1653, mintmark sun to obverse, Sp 3215 (good/fine for issue, toned, on an irregular flan not unusual for issue).

A Commonwealth shilling 1649-1660, dated 1656, mintmark sun to obverse, Sp 3217 (good/fine for issue, toned, on an irregular clipped flan).

A Commonwealth sixpence 1649-1660, dated 1654, mintmark sun to obverse, Sp 3219 (very fine, on a neat flan with rich cabinet tone and trace reflective fields), with an old ticket, detailed 'Ex Lockett'. Note: probably from the collection of Richard Cyril Lockett, sold during the late 1950s and 1960s.

A scarce Oliver Cromwell shilling 1658, obverse with draped bust left, reverse with crowned shield, grained edge, Lessen J28, Sp3228 (fair/fine with even cabinet tone).

A scarce William and Mary guinea 1689, obverse with conjoined busts right, reverse with crowned shield, Sp 3426 (previously mounted with some edge marks, but good/fine overall).

A scarce William and Mary guinea 1692, obverse with conjoined busts right, reverse with crowned shield, Sp 3426 (some solder residue? to shield, probable evidence of an old mount, but good/fine overall).

A scarce Anne guinea 1713, third bust type, Sp 3574 (possible signs of previously being mounted, but good/fine overall).

A scarce James II guinea 1685, first laureate bust type, Sp 3400 (possible signs of previously being mounted, but good/fine overall).

A scarce Charles II milled issue two guineas 1664, first bust type with elephant below (good/fine).

A Byzantine Empire Justinian I gold solidus 527-538 AD, Constantinople Mint, Officina Secunda, obverse with helmeted and cuirassed bust, three-quarter facing, holding spear and shield, reverse with standing angel holding long cross and globus cruciger, star in right field, 'CONOB' below (extremely fine for issue).

A scarce Roman Empire Julius Caesar denarius 46-45 BC, struck by the military moving mint, obverse with diademed head of Venus facing right, Cupid behind, reverse with trophy of arms flanked by two Gallic captives (good/very fine for issue).

A small collection of ancient Roman and Byzantine coinage, including a Roman Empire Faustina II silver denarius 147-150 AD, reverse with Laetitia standing left, holding wreath and sceptre, and a Roman Empire Trajan Decius antoninianus 249-251 AD, reverse with Genius standing left, holding patera and cornucopia.

A scarce Victoria Young Head shield back sovereign 1838, Sp 3852 (good/fine).
