A fine late Victorian burr walnut and brass bound architect's drawing case by Lawrence & Mayo of London, the hinged lid inset with a plaque, detailed 'T.I. Jackson 1878', the interior with three lift-out trays fitted with nickel and ivory drawing instruments, the spring-loaded drawer enclosing a set of watercolour blocks and ceramic palette, width 37cm. Provenance: Christie's Sale 9456, 17th October 2000, Los Angeles, Lot 57. Note: a non-transferrable ivory exemption certificate has been granted for the sale of this item.
