A pair of George III mahogany dining room urn pedestals by Gillows of Lancaster, the finely gadrooned tops above oak-lined drawers, cabinets and cellarets, raised on splayed legs, bearing maker's stamp to one drawer, height 106cm, width 44cm, depth 43cm. Provenance: the property of Michael Godfrey. Note: a similar pedestal can be seen illustrated in 'Gillows of Lancaster & London 1730-1840' by Susan E Stuart, page 310.
