A George III silver dog's collar with red leather lined inside edge and padlock clasp, finely engraved 'Mary Thornton, Muggerhanger House, Biggleswade, Beds', diameter 8cm. Note: the inscription likely refers to the Thornton family who owned Moggerhanger House and commissioned Sir John Soane to remodel it in the late 18th century.
