An early 20th century green stained agate imitating jade and carbuncle garnet set parasol handle of reputed Royal interest, the tapering rustic form body collet set with eight carbuncle garnets and carved in low relief, the gilt metal collar with attached screw, length of handle 7cm, within a tan leather case containing a hand written note, inscribed 'For dear.... Edward a parasol handle with very best wishes from Alexandra'. Note: the signature appears to be that of Alexandra of Denmark, Queen of Edward VII (1844-1925).
