Silver and Plate

A group of thirteen silver mounted glass scent bottles, including a globular example with hobnail decoration, fitted with a foliate scroll embossed lid and collar, Birmingham 1912 by C.C. May & Sons, height 12.3cm, together with a glass atomizer with plated and apricot enamel collar (some faults).

A George V silver shaped oval trinket box, the hinged lid with hammered decoration, raised on fleur-de-lis feet, Birmingham 1916 by Henry Matthews, length 11cm, a silver purse with engraved scroll decoration and tan leather fitted interior, Birmingham (date letter rubbed) by William Adams Ltd, four silver pill boxes, a plated and apricot enamelled cigarette case and an oval plated snuff box, decorated with figures.

A plated nut dish with scallop shell bowl, the rim surmounted with a squirrel, raised on a reeded circular foot, height 21cm, together with a pair of plated sauce boats, a muffin dish and cover and a pair of nutcrackers.

A pair of George III silver candlesticks with detachable nozzles, each baluster stem decorated in relief with reeded and foliate bands on a circular base, Sheffield 1809 by John Wright & George Fairbairn, height 30cm (faults).

A late Victorian silver two-handled trophy cup, the ovoid bowl engraved with leaves framing inscriptions 'The Waterloo Cup ... won by George Grant 24th Jany 1895', on a beaded knop stem and circular foot, Birmingham 1880 by W. Spurrier & Co, height 19.5cm.

A William IV silver castle-top rectangular vinaigrette, the hinged lid decorated in relief with Abbotsford House, revealing a floral and foliate pierced and engraved gilt hinged grille, Birmingham 1837 by Nathaniel Mills, length 4.2cm.

A set of twelve gilt spoons, each dished bowl formed from a Friedrich August II of Saxony 1/6th thaler 1763, fitted with spiral wirework handles, cased.

A Danish sterling beaker of flared lobed form, decorated in relief with lappet and scroll decoration, detailed 'EUV. Andersen', height 8cm, another Danish silver beaker by Johannes Siggard, height 7cm, a Danish cut glass and silver mounted decanter and stopper, a small group of other Danish silver and a group of plated items, including a pair of stub candlesticks.

A George III silver cream jug and two-handled sugar bowl, each of cushion form with gadrooned rim, raised on claw and ball feet, London 1807 by John Taylor, length 15cm and 20cm, boxed.

A George V silver match sleeve holder of rectangular form with engine turned decoration, Birmingham 1930 by William Neale & Son Ltd, length 6cm, together with a set of twelve Japanese sterling silver coffee spoons, each with flower shaped bowl, faux bamboo handle and terminals with different Japanese motifs, detailed 'Sterling Japan'.
