(Occasional spotting.) Original paper-covered boards (extremities lightly scuffed, spine chipped with approx 20mm. loss to head and foot of spine).

[N.p. but London: n.d. but circa 1860.] 8vo (267 x 187mm.) 4 hand-coloured peep show illustrations of The Crystal Palace, St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and The Thames Tunnel. (Some spotting, soiling or browning, some nicks.) Original cloth-backed pictorial boards (soiled, chipped and creased, stitching broken and all leaves now loosely inserted, lacking rear-free endpaper). Note: rare. Provenance: Edith R. Sawyer (signature to front-free endpaper).

TIMLIN, William M. The Ship that Sailed to Mars. London: George G. Harrap, [n.d. but 1923.] 4to (305 x 230mm.) Mounted text leaves printed in blue, black and grey, 48 mounted colour plates by Timlin. (Some soiling and occasional light spotting, title-page torn without loss to one corner, 1 plate torn without loss, another creased to corner.) Original vellum-backed boards (extremities somewhat bumped, soiled and affected by damp, spine worn). Provenance: Olive Lee (signature dated 27.12.29 to front-free endpaper).

ILLUMINATED MANUSCRIPT BOOK. - H. CASTLE (calligrapher). [Extracts from The Beatitudes. N.p.: n.d. but circa 1850-1870.] Presentation page and 8pp. of illuminated pages, folio (278 x 220mm.) The verses contained within wide decorative borders incorporating flowers and leaves, 1 p. also incorporating birds. Contemporary maroon morocco gilt over bevelled boards, by T. Kerslake & Co., Bristol, the covers elaborately tooled with fleurs-de-lys and shamrock tools within fillet borders, the spine in six compartments with raised bands, each compartment with repeat decoration in gilt, wide gilt turn-ins, g.e. (neatly rebacked, old spine laid down). Provenance: Rachael Castle (presentation page from H. Castle); A. & M. Bamborough (modern bookplate to front pastedown).

Colour frontispiece, numerous plates and illustrations (lacking extra suite of plates, some spotting or browning.) Contemporary red half-morocco, lettered in gilt to spine, t.e.g. (spine slightly faded, marbled paper spotted). Provenance: James Fitz Gerald Bannatyne (armorial bookplate). - And fourteen others, leather-bound, the majority relating to royalty (15).
