A Japanese Satsuma earthenware circular dish by Hododa, Meiji period, painted and gilt with variously shaped overlapping figural panels, reserved against simulated brocade and a key fret border, the rim similarly decorated with simulated brocade, gilt Shimazu mon, black and gilt signature and impressed mark to base, diameter approx 24.5cm.
