A Japanese Satsuma earthenware vase, by Matsumoto Hozan, Meiji period, the globular body painted with opposing panels filled with samurai and bijin flanked by smaller circular flower vignettes within floral and simulated brocade borders, black and gilt signature to base, height approx 11.7cm.
