A George III oak longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the brass break arch dial with sun boss above a chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals and inscribed 'Richard Smith, Newport', framing a matt centre with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, cornered by urn and scroll spandrels, the break arch hood with glazed door and sides above an arched trunk door and plain base, height approx 206cm, with a pendulum, two weights and a key.
