A Staffordshire pearlware Royal commemorative proclamation wash jug and basin, circa 1838, printed in purple with portraits of the Young Victoria beneath a banner inscribed 'Hail Victoria', within elaborate floral frames flanked by a lion and birds beneath a crown surmount, the border with flowers of the nation and crowns flanked by flags, diameter of bowl approx 36cm (jug and basin restored).
