A Jacob Petit porcelain box and cover in the form of an apple, mid-19th Century, naturalistically modelled with applied floral detail to the cover, the base interior fitted with a candleholder, underglaze blue 'J.P.' mark to base (cover lacking handle), together with a Continental porcelain figure of a lady, a Plaue floral encrusted basket surmounted by a cherub and a snuffer in the form of an apple.
