The Second World War awards to Harold Lowe, late of the R.A.F. V.R., comprising the Distinguished Flying Cross, officially dated 1943 and privately engraved 'F/O. H. LOWE R.A.F.V.R. 115129 1939-1943', with the original Royal Mint box of issue, the 1939-45 Star, the Air Crew Europe Star and the 1939-45 War Medal, these three privately engraved 'F/O: H. LOWE. 115129. R.A.F.V.R.', with small paper slip confirming the three awards, the Air Council named forwarding slip and box of postage, addressed to 'Mrs C. Lowe', the named commemorative scroll and forwarding slip, an album of photographs, including several showing his C.W.G.C. headstone, Supplement to the London Gazette 24th April 1945 listing the award of the D.F.C., further related paperwork and photographs and a 1939-45 Defence Medal, unnamed, with forwarding slip. Note: Flying Officer Harold Lowe died 3rd February 1943, aged 23, and is buried at the Amersfoort General Cemetery.
