A mid-Victorian alphabetical and numerical needlework sampler by 'Eliza Manser, Dover Charity School, 1865', the bands of letters and numbers above vignettes of two buildings, a figure, two birds and floral sprays, all within a strawberry border, worked with polychrome threads in cross stitch, approx 33cm x 31cm, mounted on board, together with a George IV needlework sampler, dated 1829, approx 43cm x 33cm.
