LOT 1093
A Regency ormolu and slate mantel timepiece, circa 1820, with eight day chain fusee movement, the circular dial with Roman numerals framing an engine turned centre, the back plate inscribed 'Brockbank & Atkins, London 1939', the drum case surmounted by an eagle and ribbon tied oak leaf wreath, on a volute scroll moulded support, the black slate rectangular base with applied Bacchanalian mask and fruiting vine, on engine turned ormolu bun feet, height approx 28.5cm (faults and lacking pendulum).
