A late 19th Century gilt bronze and champlevé enamel strut timepiece, the oval silvered dial with blue Roman numerals and engine turned centre within an engraved foliate scroll surround, the frame enamelled with turquoise, red, blue and black strapwork, surmounted by a putto and flowers, the foliate scroll apron flanked by two further putti, the case back inscribed 'Howell, James & Co, London', height approx 25.5cm.
