A lacquered brass and black enamelled monocular microscope with rack and pinion focusing, mechanical stage and plano-concave mirror, within a mahogany carrying case, together with a late Victorian pine microscope slide specimen case, the hinged door enclosing twelve drawers containing approximately 135 slides, including human, animal, entomology and botanical samples, the majority with inscribed paper labels, including 'S.H.S Dodridge', 'Martin Burgess' and 'J.E Tubbs'.
