A William IV Scottish mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the break arch dial painted with a scene to the arch titled 'The Kings Welcome to Scotland', above Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and date dial and inscribed 'JNo Watson, Kirriemuir', cornered by four scenes of Britannia, emblematic of England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland, the hood with swan neck pediment above a glazed door and turned columns, the trunk with rectangular door flanked by a pair of turned and carved tulip cusp corner columns, on a panelled base and bracket feet, height approx 217cm, with pendulum, two weights and winder (restoration).
