LOT 1166
An early 19th Century and later oak longcase clock with eight day musical movement striking on a gong and chiming on six bells, the brass break arch dial with silvered chapter ring, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and strike/silent indicator to the arch, the case profusely carved with masks, scrolls and foliage, the hood with carved sunburst surmount above swan neck pediment, glazed door and reeded columns, the trunk with rectangular door flanked by Corinthian corner columns, the base with caryatid columns on bracket feet, height approx 235cm, with pendulum and three weights (alterations and faults).
