LOT 1085
A mid-18th Century Japanned longcase clock with four-pillar brass eight day movement striking on a bell, the brass break arch dial with chime/silent indicator to arch, above a silvered chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and outer Arabic minutes, framing a matt centre with subsidiary seconds, date aperture and applied silvered plaque inscribed 'Marm:d Storr, London', all cornered with cast and pierced mask, dolphin and scroll spandrels, the gilt detailed hood with moulded pediment and glazed door, the trunk door decorated in gilt with a chinoiserie scene of figures in buildings, on a similarly decorated base, height approx 204cm, with pendulum and two brass cased weights (base cut down and other faults)
