LOT 3331
EPHEMERA, George Joseph BRADLEY (1917-1998). A collection of ephemera relating to Bradley, mostly his football and military careers, including football programmes, football medals, photographs, postcards and military awards. Note: Bradley was a promising young defender, signing for Newcastle from Rotherham, however the outbreak of the Second World War stymied his career. During the war he served with distinction as a sergeant in the R.A.F. and managed to play a total of 20 wartime matches for Newcastle, Hull City, Arsenal, Bradford City and Rotherham. After the war Bradley was transferred to Millwall playing 74 league games.
