A group of Ashanti or East and West Africa issues, comprising an erased disc with later fitted suspension for display purposes as a Central Africa Medal, a second example, later fitted with bar 'Sierra Leone 1898-99', to '2187 Pte. T. Edwards. 1 W I R.' (suspension soldered up, no longer swivels), a third example, renamed '5739 A. Dwyer. R.M.L.I H.M.S. Malacca' (lacking suspension, drilled with a hole above the head), a fourth example, impressed in small capitals '2817 Pte W. Glaze. 1st W.I.R.' (suspension repaired, ribbon rod loose), and a medal suspension.
