A George III oak longcase clock with thirty hour movement striking on a bell, the square brass dial with matt centre engraved with foliate scrolls and date aperture, framed by a chapter ring with Roman hour numerals and outer Arabic minutes, inscribed 'Major Scholfield, Rochdale', all cornered with cast and pierced foliate scroll spandrels, the hood with swan neck pediment above turned columns and glazed door, the trunk door with shaped top above a panelled base and bracket feet, height approx 214cm, with pendulum and weight (some faults).
