A rare English earthenware Pratt Ware decorated Loyal Volunteer figure, circa 1800, modelled as a standing Foot Volunteer, dressed in military uniform with a musket at his side, raised on a circular blue lined base with Greek key moulded detail, unmarked, height approx 22cm. Note: this figure forms a pair with the Horse Volunteer. Both can be seen illustrated by John and Griselda Lewis in 'Pratt Ware. English and Scottish relief decorated and underglaze coloured earthenware 1780-1840', p.169.
