A 'Vienna' porcelain oval gilt metal mounted snuff box, late 19th Century, the hinged lid painted with a scene probably depicting Cupid and Venus, the lid underside with a warrior and maiden in romantic embrace above the gilt lined interior, the exterior sides and base with gilt overlaid polychrome panels enclosing a pair of painted animal scenes, unmarked, length approx 8.3cm (crack and chip to cover).
