A Meissen porcelain figure of a gentleman musician, mid-18th Century, after the model by Johann Kändler, seated on a tree stump playing a lute, wearing a lilac coat trimmed with gilt detail, the naturalistic base with floral encrusted decoration, crossed swords in underglaze blue to reverse edge of base, height approx 13.5cm (faults and losses).
