LOT 1100
A late 20th Century Murday-Reason style great wheel battery electric timepiece by John Wilding, the silvered chapter ring with Roman hour numerals and inscribed 'G.D. Westry, Hampton', displaying a skeletonized movement, on turned supports with ebonized base and glass dome, overall height approx 40cm. Note: the original electric timepiece was designed by Thomas John Murday who took out a patent on it in 1910. It was manufactured by Reason Manufacturing Company in Brighton.
