An early 20th Century Arts and Crafts terracotta sundial, in the manner of Compton Pottery, the square top fitted with a verdigris bronze panel inscribed with a poem 'Serene he Stands among the Flowers ...', the stem marbled in relief with stylized flowers and leaves, the cushion moulded base with curved shoulders, height approx 82cm, width approx 35cm. Provenance: Lot 360 in Toovey's Country House Sale at Little Thakeham, Wednesday 18th October 2000.
