A Queen's South Africa Medal, the replaced suspension with an unofficial bar, engraved '1901 and 1901', renamed to (the number illegible) 'Pte. J. Gormley. West Yorks Reg' (the reverse with detail 'South Africa' erased and later engraved 'Mediterranean'), a Queen's South Africa Medal with replaced suspension and three bars, comprising 'Cape Colony', 'Orange Free State' and 'Transvaal', with impaired naming to '16791 Pte A. Melench. R.A.M.C.', and a King's South Africa Medal with two bars, comprising 'South Africa 1901' and 'South Africa 1902', the naming erased.
