RUNCIMAN, Walter. 'Sunbeam' in the Mediterranean 1923. The Private Log & Diary. [N.p.: n.d. but circa 1923.] 4to (245 x 180mm.) Photographic portrait frontispiece, 10 photographic plates, 4 photographic illustrations. (Light browning, occasional minor spotting.) Original cloth blocked in gilt (extremities bumped, faded spine and head of upper-cover faded, lower-cover damp stained). Together with a Sir Walter Runciman compliments slip. Note: this volume covers the Sunbeam on a 5,000 mile cruise of the Mediterranean, with 23 crew the yacht sailed to Monaco, Portofino, Naples, Palermo, Gibralta and Lisbon amongst other destinations. Provenance: The Michael Gilkes Collection.
