Three albums containing approximately 216 photographs of LNER and LMS railways and locomotives, the majority press photographs, including views captioned 'Railway Centenary Celebration at Darlington, July 2nd 1925', 'Gresley's experimental 4-6-4 high-pressure locomotive, February 6th 1931', 'Snow, after several unsuccessful attempts by railwaymen to tow away a frozen up locomotive near Billington', and 'Train Crash at Polesworth, Staff's Sentinel, 21.7.47', circa 1920-1950.
