An Edwardian Arts and Crafts oak elbow chair, probably made by William Birch and designed by E.G. Punnett, the comb back carved with a stylized flowerhead above an upholstered seat, on block legs, height approx 105cm, width approx 63cm. Note: a similar design is illustrated in 'British Furniture 1880-1915' by Pauline Agius, p.120 and p.163.
