A George VI naval officer's sword with straight dumbbell section blade, length 79cm (polished over pitting), brass hilt, wire bound fishskin covered grip, with its brass bound leather scabbard, together with a sword belt, a single draw telescope by Gieves Ltd, engraved 'J.E. Maidwell RN H.I.T.S. Headingham Castle 1953', and a 1939-45 Atlantic Star, Africa Star and War Medal group, mounted as worn.
