BOOK OF HOURS. An illuminated vellum leaf from a Horae or Book of Hours, circa 1460-1480. 1 vellum leaf 4.3cm x 4.5cm, recto and verso each with 13 lines of text in brown and red ink on red ruled lines, recto with one double-line illuminated initial, verso with five (two double-line, three single) illuminated initials, and three line fillers, with scrolling illuminated polychrome foliate border to one side. Contained within a modern window mount and hardwood frame.
