A plated circular presentation tray with scalloped edge by Mappin & Webb, engraved with a Fairey Delta 2 aircraft in flight above the inscription 'World Air Speed Record 1132 m.p.h 10th March 1956. R.H. Mayo', diameter 21cm, together with a Fairey Aviation Company Christmas card bearing five signatures, including Fairey Delta 2 pilot Peter Twiss, a silver model of a propeller, engraved 'Aero Golfing Society', a silver presentation ashtray, engraved 'R.H.M from E.M, I.S.R, G.R.S, C.H.J, M.P.R and J.C.H 6.2.38 Quis separavit', and a small silver cigarette case. Provenance: from the estate of the late Major Robert Hobart Mayo, O.B.E., M.A. (Cantab), Assoc.M.Inst.C.E., F.R.Ae.S., M.Inst.T.
