PENLEY, Aaron. The English School of Painting in Water Colours. London: Day and Son, [n.d. but circa 1861]. Folio (550 x 363mm.) Colour lithographed decorative title, 4 hand-coloured watercolour swatch plates, 21 colour lithographed plates. (Light browning, some spotting, heavier to plates, marginal repaired tears without loss, tears with loss to some tissue guards, some abrasion with loss to plate 6.) 20th century morocco-backed boards, extremities lightly bumped and scuffed. Provenance: West Sussex County Library (bookplate to front pastedown, ink stamps and labels to endpapers, decorative title and title-page). - And one other art reference volume (Kees Van HOEK. 'Gaetano de Gennaro Pastels and Paintings'. Dublin: [n.d. but 1945]). (2).
