Folio (450 x 292mm.) 14 copper-plate illustrations, 8 double-page engraved cosmographical plates, 42 double-page engraved maps hand-coloured in outline, 1 additional folding engraved map of France. (Light browning, some offsetting, spotting and occasional soiling, many plates with tears and repairs without loss, some plates shaved with loss.) 19th century half-calf (bumped and scuffed, marbled paper lacking to lower cover, joints split). Provenance: William Bailey (signature to title).
