A group of 3 a.l.s. by Alexander Stewart Herschel, addressed to 'Dear Mr Holiday', dated November 1865 to August 1866, 11pp. in total, each 17.5cm x 11.5cm, mentioning meteors and instruments and one announcing Herschel's appointment as Professor of Natural Philosophy at the Andersonian University of Glasgow. Note: Herschel was a renowned Victorian astronomer.
