LOT 1101
A mid/late 19th century French ormolu and white marble mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the circular enamel dial with black Roman numerals and inscribed 'Gurr St. Leonards on Sea', the case surmounted with a turquoise painted celestial globe, applied with ormolu band of putti and hung with oak leaf festoons, supported by simulated clouds on a white marble cylindrical column, flanked by a classical maiden seated with lyre and Cupid, the breakfront base inset with ormolu panels, on fluted feet, height 37cm, with pendulum and giltwood stand (two feet detached but present and other minor faults).
