A mid/late 19th century French ebonized mantel timepiece with eight day movement, the backplate detailed 'V.A.P. Brevete ...', the circular white enamel dial with black Roman numerals within a foliate scroll engraved gilt metal surround, the rectangular case with plinth base and bracket feet, height 16.5cm, with pendulum and a winding key.
