An early 19th century Scottish oak and mahogany crossbanded longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the painted break arch dial with a scene of two French and Royal Navy gunships exchanging fire above Roman hour numerals, subsidiary seconds and date dials and inscribed 'G. Black, Musselburgh', the hood with swan neck pediment, glazed door and turned columns, the trunk with hinged door, cut corner columns and panelled base on bracket feet, height 238cm, with pendulum and two weights.
