A Céramique Impressioniste Barbotine French pottery vase by Dominique Grenet and Eugène Girardin, circa 1880, of shouldered rectangular form, the short neck applied with angular handles with trailing ends, painted to one side with two birds perched amidst blossom, to the reverse with a butterfly hovering near blossom, against a mottled pale blue ground, the interior with a striking blue glaze, black painted monogram and signature to base, length 33.5cm (haircrack).
