BEATRIX POTTER. An early 20th century watercolour and ink frieze reproducing the 28 illustrations in The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, each illustration averaging 27cm x 23cm, the verso with the story. Note: according to Margaret Lane in her book 'The Tale of Beatrix Potter' p.108, Potter wrote to her publishers concerning a letter from a Mrs Garnett: 'She has made a frieze for her nursery out of Peter Rabbit, and it is so popular she would like to show it to a paper manufacturer...'.
