LOT 1172
A mid-19th century French ormolu and porcelain mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the backplate with stamped Japy Frères maker's mark and inscribed 'Futroye a Paris', the similarly signed enamel dial with black Roman numerals, the case with cast goat and putto surmount above inset porcelain panels, painted with flowers within bleu céleste and gilt borders, the breakfront base with cast foliate scrolls, on foliate toupie feet, height 41cm (lacking pendulum).
