London: James Duncan, 1838. 2 vols., first edition, 8vo (216 x 128mm.) 1 plate, errata slip, 4pp. tipped-in handwritten poem regarding the death of Montrose. (Spotting to pastedowns.) Late 19th century calf with double gilt borders, the spines in six compartments, red and green lettering pieces to second and third compartments, the others with repeat decoration in gilt, g.e. Provenance: Robert Milnes-Crewe (bookplate to the front pastedowns); The West Horsley Place Collection.
