                DICKENS, Charles. The Personal History of David Copperfield. London: Bradbury & Evans, 1850. First edition in book form, 8vo (209 x 135mm.) 40 plates by H.K. Browne including frontispiece and vignette title. (Damp-staining to preliminaries and to plates.) Contemporary green half-morocco, red morocco lettering piece to the spine (wear to spine). Note: contains most first issue points ('recal' for 'recall', p. 19 'cha pter' and ';ut', p.132 'screwed' for 'screamed'). - And two copies of Dickens' 'Edwin Drood', first edition, 1870, 8vo). Provenance: Robert Milnes-Crewe (bookplate to the front pastedowns); The West Horsley Place Collection (3).
