A late 19th century French ormolu and rose marble mantel timepiece, the movement with platform escapement, the enamel circular dial with black Roman hour numerals and painted flower festoons, the case surmounted with a figure group of Venus and Cupid, cast signature 'Ligalle', raised on a fluted cylindrical rose marble plinth with ormolu mounts, height 39.5cm.
