LOT 1127
A 19th century oak cased noctuary or nightwatchman's longcase clock, the circular dial with black Roman hour numerals and inscribed 'Thwaites & Reed Clerkenwell', the case of plain tapered rectangular form with rectangular trunk door and plinth base, height 189cm, dial diameter 15.5cm, with pendulum and weight. Provenance: accompanied by a receipt for the purchase of the clock from Hampton Court Palace, dated 27th August 1937.
