A Naval General Service Medal 1793-1840 with bar 'Syria' to 'James Ralls', with copied detail from the roll confirming that he served as Bosun's Mate aboard H.M.S. Princess Charlotte, together with a book, 'Historical Sketches of the Late War between the United States and Great Britain' by John Lewis Thomson, 5th Edition May 1818.
